Colorado-based coffee chain Ziggi’s Coffee has signed a franchise agreement for 50 new Ziggi’s Coffee locations in the greater Atlanta market.
The company has not disclosed the identity of the franchise developer. An announcement from the company yesterday described the franchisee as an “amazing group” and an “experienced group.”
The deal opens and closes the Atlanta market for the fast-growing Ziggi’s chain, which currently boasts approximately 75 drive-through and walk-in stores in 16 states.
Ziggi’s was founded with a single coffee shop in Longmont, Colorado, in 2004, and the company began franchising in 2016. The Atlanta deal follows other major franchise agreements for the company, including one for nine new stores in Washington state, and one for 18 stores in Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky.
In its pitch to potential franchisees, the company says the initial investment for franchise locations ranges from $467,000 to $2 million. The company said it is “mostly focused on the development of its double-sided drive-thru model.”
“Signing an agreement for 50 units with such an experienced group is tremendous validation to the systems and brand experience Ziggi’s brings to markets,” Ziggi’s Coffee VP of Franchise Development Justin Livingston said in an announcement yesterday. “Closing a market to a single franchisee to develop is a decision we take very seriously and this team is the perfect fit.”
