The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), Exporum Inc., and the Barista Association of Thailand (BAT) have announced World of Coffee Asia 2026 will take place in Bangkok.
World of Coffee Asia initially launched in 2024 and has seen two successful editions take place in Busan, South Korea (2024) and Jakarta, Indonesia (2025).
SCA CEO Yannis Apostolopoulos says the emergence of Thailand‘s specialty coffee scene makes it the perfect host for the next edition of the event.
“Thailand’s specialty coffee community has grown in remarkable ways over the past decade, and we’re honoured to bring World of Coffee to Bangkok in 2026,” Apostolopoulos says.
“This event is part of our continued effort to make coffee better by supporting trade amongst all stakeholders along the value chain in meaningful, inclusive, and sustainable ways.
“With Thailand’s deep-rooted coffee culture and Bangkok’s global accessibility, we look forward to delivering a World of Coffee experience that celebrates the region’s heritage and future.”
Global exhibition company Exporum Inc. is partnering to host the event. CEO Danny Shin says the growing influence of Thailand in Asia’s specialty coffee landscape bodes well for a successful event.
“With each World of Coffee in Asia, we see new energy, new perspectives, and new opportunities,” Shin says.
“Bangkok represents the perfect next step in that journey – an energetic, international city with a strong specialty coffee scene and a growing influence in global coffee conversations.
“We’re excited to partner with the Barista Association of Thailand and SCA to bring this vision to life.”
