Residents of Katherine, Northern Territory will have the chance to win three months’ worth of coffee as part of a government initiative to boost the town’s hospitality industry.
“This is a fantastic initiative to get more people through the doors of our wonderful hospitality venues in Katherine,” says NT Minister for Tourism and Hospitality Nicole Manison. “It’s an opportunity to try more coffee places over the next few months and share the love around.”
The K-Town Morning Rush is a month-long festival celebrating the town’s love of coffee. The event aims to build foot traffic to local establishments through the wet season, when trade is usually slower.
It will take place across two instalments, first in November 2023 and again in February 2024. Throughout both months, coffee consumers will be able to purchase a drink from participating venues to go into the draw to win the coffee supply.
“I encourage all venues in Katherine to get involved and enjoy the friendly rivalry,” says Nicole.
The K-Town event builds upon The Morning Rush, which launched through Activate Darwin in May.
