Static Electricity β‘π«
.
Due to dry weather conditions, some types of coffee beans, different grinders, and different roasting levels, static electricity builds up while grinding and you will end-up with the coffee being stuck everywhere with even less constant ground coffee results.
.
.
It is especially common with single dose grinders.
.
Simply add a few drops of water and it should fix the problem.
.
Ideally, try to find a small bottle with spraying head, fill it with water and give the beans a splash before grinding π
.
.
We used Dark Roasted coffee beans which produce even more static electricity in espresso in general.
.
Hope this video was helpful to understand the RDT technique (adding a few drops of water) in an enjoyable an beneficial way
.
.
Kindly note, even the most expensive single dose grinders come with a small water bottle for you to use. While the static electricity might be more common in different grinders, it should not be an indication of manufacturing and design flows. However, there are small design approaches to minimise the static electricity.

Hope you are having a lovely weekend! π€βοΈ
