US brands celebrate National Coffee Day with free giveaways

As the United States celebrates National Coffee Day on 29 September, a number of name brands are hosting giveaways and promotions to mark the occasion.

Dunkin’ Donuts is offering a free coffee with purchase for members of its rewards program, as well as launching a collection of bracelets from Little Words Project, which produces handcrafted bracelets with words of kindness and motivation.

“National Coffee Day is an opportunity to give back to our loyal guests, whether that’s by treating our Dunkin’ Rewards members to a free coffee or by unveiling a unique collaboration,” says Dunkin’ Chief Marketing Officer Jill McVicar Nelson. “Both Dunkin’ and Little Words Project are committed to bringing joy into people’s lives, making this partnership a natural fit.”

Dutch Bros Coffee will offer an exclusive ‘Drink More Coffee’ hat at over 750 stores nationwide on Friday 29 September only. Customers who purchase the hat will receive a free drink of their choice.

“We’re stoked to celebrate National Coffee Day with all our coffee loving customers,” says Dutch Bros senior VP of field engagement Charles Swindler. “We can’t wait to see everyone rockin’ their new hats while enjoying their favourite drink on September 29.”

Krispy Kreme will offer guests a free medium hot or iced coffee without any additional purchases, as well as a US$2 original glazed dozen donuts with the purchase of any dozen donuts.

Duck Donuts are giving away a free medium hot coffee or cold brew with any purchase in-store or online on Friday, as the company looks to celebrate its recently launched Signature Blend.

The blend consists of beans primarily sourced from the Boquet region of Panama, which results in an aromatic coffee with ambrosial fruit notes.
