One of the world’s largest annual coffee trade shows,Cafe Show Seoulis returning this month with more than 150,000 visitors expected over four days.
This will be the 22nd iteration of the international trade show, which this year has enlisted approximately 675 companies from 36 countries as exhibitors. Cafe Show Seoul 2023 is taking place Nov. 8-11 at the COEX convention center in Samseong-dong, Seoul, South Korea.
Under the tagline “Blend New, Brand New,” the official theme of this year’s event underscores the concept of “coexistence” in the coffee retail industry, which was deeply affected by the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020. A promotional video for the show depicts various stages of coffee production swirling into a coffee cup, highlighting the fact that many different but related actors are required to produce a cup of coffee.
Numerous other coffee-focused events are being held in conjunction with this year’s Cafe Seoul Show, including the Seoul Coffee Festival, the second World Latte Art Battle and the World Coffee Leaders Forum.
The Cafe Show Seoul itself will expand into numerous exhibition halls with a broad display of new coffee-making equipment, roasting equipment and supplies, and other equipment and services related to cafe and coffee business operations.
The show boasts the “Cherry’s Choice” awards program, a “Coffee Alley” featuring more than 70 roasting companies, and a trend-focused program called “Trend Unpack Show 2024,” among many other program highlights.
“As it is an exhibition representing attractive cafes and coffees that are recognized not only in Korea but also in the global market, we hope that you will visit this year’s Seoul Cafe Show to experience trends for 2024 as well as the cafe and coffee industry of the future,” a representative of the show said in an announcement shared with DCN.
