The Specialty Coffee Association has announced that the Thermoplan Black&White4 CTS will be the qualified espresso machine for the World Latte Art Championships from 2024 to 2027.
“We are delighted to recognise the superb quality of the Thermoplan Black&White4 CTS and announce the very first fully-automatic qualified espresso machine at the World Coffee Championships,” says SCA CEO Yannis Apostolopoulos.
“This marks a significant step in the important work of including a wider range of equipment in the World Coffee Championships. We are honoured to work with Thermoplan over the next four years to pursue our common goal of promoting coffee excellence worldwide.”
As is standard for all WCCs, the Thermoplan Black&White4 CTS passed the qualified testing program that sets the standards for espresso machines to withstand the fast-paced environment of the competition stage.
The next edition of the World Latte Art Championship will take place at Bella Center Copenhagen, Denmark from 27 to 29 June 2024.
“We were very happy to hear that our Black&White4 CTS has made it and will be part of the World Coffee Championships as the first fully-automatic coffee machine,” says Thermoplan Head of Sales Sven Schilliger.
“We hope the Black&White4 CTS will inspire both seasoned baristas and aspiring candidates in future World Latte Art Championships. We are honoured to be part of the team for the next four years and look forward to everything that lies ahead.”
