The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) has announced that the Specialty Coffee Expo will be rebranded as World of Coffee from 2026.
The flagship North American event will go forward in Houston, Texas, as the Specialty Coffee Expo from 25 to 27 April 2025, then in 2026 will return as World of Coffee San Diego on 10 to 12 April.
“Renaming Expo to World of Coffee brings North America’s premier coffee trade show into the globally recognised World of Coffee brand, reinforcing our commitment to international growth, collaboration, and innovation in the coffee industry,” says Yannis Apostolopoulos, CEO of the SCA.
“We chose the name World of Coffee because, in times of division, demonstrating unity is more important than ever. Our goal is to bring together coffee professionals and stakeholders worldwide, aligning the event with our broader purpose. World of Coffee will build on Expo’s 30-year legacy, continuing to connect industry leaders, exhibitors, and enthusiasts to explore emerging trends, cutting-edge technology, and new business opportunities—all while celebrating the vibrant global coffee community.”
The SCA says visitors and exhibitors of World of Coffee San Diego can expect the same “dynamic community and industry-leading” experience the Expo is known for. The event will feature a range of exhibitors, workshops, technology, and competitions.
Established in 2010, the World of Coffee series hosts events in Central America, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. Through World of Coffee San Diego, SCA says it will further its mission to connect industry leaders, facilitate strategic partnerships, and provide a space for professionals to engage with emerging trends.
