The Speciality Coffee Association (SCA) has released the schedule for its 2023 Green Coffee Summit, a virtual event which will take place on 5 and 6 December.
The first day of the summit will focus on green coffee and its extrinsic attributes, while the second day will explore green coffee and value design.
“In recent years, our perception of green coffee’s value has shifted significantly, with a growing emphasis on extrinsic qualities. The research on understanding flavour attributes in coffee is evolving rapidly due to market changes, scientific progress, and shifting consumer preferences in the specialty coffee sector,” SCA Sustainability Director and Content Lead for this year’s event Andrés Montenegro says.
“The Green Coffee Summit 2023 is a unique chance to get the pulse on these innovations and learn from the leading experts and coffee professionals [who] are shaping the strategies to advance the specialty coffee sector to make coffee better for all.”
The free-to-attend summit will feature live content focused on value models, sourcing strategies, and attributes in green coffee that are shaping trading and business models for coffee companies and producers-organisations worldwide.
With a mission to create a space for producers, traders and green coffee buyers to access reliable, actionable knowledge about specialty coffee markets, the SCA says the summit has been a beacon of information since its program and resource library launched in August 2021.
The summit hopes to provide attendees with the opportunity to connect with industry experts, network with like-minded individuals, and uncover the latest trends and innovations in the world of green coffee.
All content from the December event will be recorded and added to the Green Coffee Summit library, alongside past sessions.
