The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) has announced the locations for the upcoming Educator Summit 2024 Series across Asia.
The Educator Summit is a global series of one-day events designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of coffee educators through focused sessions on coffee education, innovative teaching techniques, and advanced insights into the coffee value chain.
The Asia edition of the Educator Summit 2024 series will be hosted at three key locations this December:
3 December 2024 – hosted by Purple Land in Jeungpyeong, Korea
8 December 2024 – hosted by Barista Association of Thailand at The Center for Academic Services Srinakharinwirot University in Bangkok, Thailand
10 December 2024 – hosted by Mr Brown at Kavalan Single Malt Whisky Distilleries in Yilan, Taiwan
These events follow the USA Educator Summits, which took place in Philadelphia on 1 October at the Lavazza Training Center and in Houston on 12 October at Katz Coffee.
“Coffee educators play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the specialty coffee industry by imparting knowledge across the entire coffee value chain,” the SCA said in a statement.
“The Educator Summit is a unique opportunity for current and aspiring educators to deepen their expertise, exchange ideas, and gain practical insights from industry leaders.”
Key areas of focus for the 2024 Series include:
Enhancing coffee education: learn to break down complex coffee concepts, making them accessible and impactful for students.
Advanced teaching techniques: discover proven methods to elevate presentations and create engaging learning environments.
Coffee value assessment: explore the sensory science and economics of affective assessments, including advanced insights on the SCA Coffee Value Assessment system.
Registration is now open for the Educator Summit events in Korea and Thailand. Registration for Educator Summit Taiwan is expected to open soon.
