5 to go, Eastern Europe’s largest coffee chain, has launched new franchise concept Espresso.
The new franchise model is designed to take the ‘to go’ format to the next level, featuring fully equipped mobile units that deliver the 5 to go beverage experience. The trailers are designed to be placed in locations that are otherwise difficult to access, such as in car parks and small towns.
“This is a concept whose large-scale launch we have been preparing for some time and maximises the potential of under-utilised spaces, facilitates access to new markets, and allows us to reach a broader range of consumers and entrepreneurs,” says Lucian Bădilă, Co-Founder of 5 to go.
“We estimate that in 2025 we will sell between 20 and 40 5 to go Espresso commercial trailers, and over 50 in 2026. They are extremely versatile and solve a major problem – the inaccessibility of certain commercial areas – being easy to position and capitalise on. Until now, the concept was available only to 5 to go franchisees; now it is open to the mass market.”
The purchase price for the ‘ready to work’ trailer including all the equipment and branding is €12,500 (US$13,815) plus VAT, and is delivered registered with completed RAR inspection. The trailer is designed to operate fully autonomously, offering flexibility for ad-hoc use, but can also be connected to water and electricity for long-term use.
Entrepreneurs who purchase 5 to go Espresso in 2025 will benefit from a €2000 discount on the franchise fee. The final franchise fee will be €2500 plus VAT.
