United States-based coffee roaster Peace Coffee has introduced an organic and Fairtrade Premium Concentrate for cold and iced espresso drinks.

The company said the launch was in response to rising consumer demand for cold coffee beverages. The recently National Coffee Association reported a 300 per cent increase in cold brew’s popularity compared to pre-pandemic consumption habits.

According to a 2024 Specialty Coffee Association survey, 42 per cent of past-week specialty coffee drinkers have had cold specialty coffee and 75 per cent of past-week specialty coffee drinkers agree drinking cold brew is cool or trendy.

The shelf-stable, ready-to-use product is made with Peace Coffee’s sustainable and ethically sourced Yeti Blend beans and is available for food service and wholesale customers. The roaster says the Premium Concentrate allows foodservice operators and their busy employees to offer and easily execute a menu of specialised cold or iced beverages at an affordable price and without buying additional coffee brewing equipment.

“Peace Coffee’s success is based on consumer preference for ecologically responsible, Fairtrade-certified, expertly roasted coffee beans,” says Lee Wallace, Owner and CEO of Peace Coffee.

“And with our new Premium Concentrate, consumer preference remains top of mind. Our foodservice partners and beverage consumers want a variety of coffee drink options that are affordable and reflect the latest trends.”

The concentrate comes in a 32-ounce plastic bottle and is shelf stable for more than nine months, with a two-week hold time when refrigerated after opening. Each bottle produces 2 gallons (256 ounces) of cold brew or more than 21 12-ounce cold or iced espresso-based drinks.
