Nestlé has partnered with public health promotion charity ‘R U OK?’ as its official ‘cuppa’ partner for the next three years.
Through the partnership, Nestlé hopes to encourage Australians to connect with their family, friends, and work colleagues over a cup of Nescafé coffee.
R U OK? Focuses on moulding the motivation, confidence, and skills of the help-giver, who can have a meaningful conversation with someone who may be struggling.
To acknowledge the occasion, Nestlé have released a limited edition coffee tin, the Nescafé Blend 43. Made in the company’s Gympie factory, the bold, yellow tin is designed to act as a reminder and prompt important conversations in the workplace while sharing a coffee together.
The tins feature a QR code that guides Australians through to the R U OK? website, where they can find free information and guidance on how to have supportive conversations.
The limited edition tin is available to purchase from wholesale office and foodservice distributors.
The company says one key barrier to initiating a mental health conversation is being uncertain of the right time and the right way to ask.
Nestlé hopes that in the time it takes to share a coffee, anyone can start a meaningful conversation, genuinely listen with an open mind, and show someone that they care.
