Guillaume Le Cunff, current CEO of Nespresso, has been announced as the new Nestlé CEO of Zone Europe, effective 1 July 2024. The announcement follows the resignation of Marco Settembri (pictured above), who is stepping down on 30 June, marking the end of a 36-year career.

“On behalf of our Board of Directors and our Executive Board, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Marco for his many years of outstanding service to Nestlé. We wish him great success and fulfillment in this new phase of his life,” says Nestlé CEO Mark Schneider.

“At the same time, we are delighted to announce that Guillaume is taking over as the new CEO of Zone Europe. Guillaume is an inspiring and seasoned business leader with extensive experience in brand building, innovation, e-commerce, and sustainability. He is the ideal leader to take Zone Europe to the next level. We wish Guillaume every success in his new role.”

Settembri joined Nestlé Italy in 1987 and has held management positions across various businesses. Purina PetCare became one of the company’s largest and most profitable businesses in Europe under his leadership. In 2022, Settemri was appointed Head of Zone Europe.

Le Cunff joined Nespresso in 2007 following almost a decade in Nestlé’s Internal Audit and Finance departments. In 2015, he was appointed president of Nespresso USA and led the launch of Vertuo and helped established the brand in North America. Le Cunff became CEO of Nespresso in 2020.
