Nespresso USA has announced the launch of Nespresso Bloom, its first collection of honey products.

The new range, which includes Coffee Blossom Honey and Coffee Blossom Syrup, is currently available to buy from Nespresso Boutiques in New York and San Francisco, both United States (US).

The honey-based collection is designed to highlight the company’s move towards regenerative agriculture practices, with the honey harvested from the same origin as the coffee in Nespresso’s Master Origins Colombia capsule.

“Supporting responsible practices in coffee farming has always been part of Nespresso’s DNA and this pilot is a result of how sustainability is fuelling our innovation strategy,” says CEO of Nespresso North America, Alfonso Gonzalez Loeschen.

“Our job is to protect the future of coffee while delivering a differentiated and superior coffee experience, which is what we know our customers are excited by. Nespresso Bloom is just that, as a first-of-its-kind offering for us.”

According to the company, the first two products from the Bloom range aim to offer customers variety and can be paired with coffee, pastries, and breakfast foods.

Coffee Blossom Honey is a raw honey with a floral flavour, featuring notes of caramel and vanilla. The honey was developed to complement Nespresso coffee but is also ideal for pairing with desserts.

Coffee Blossom Honey Syrup is a blend of the Coffee Blossom Honey and Nespresso coffee. According to the company, it has a rich coffee flavour with notes of caramel and vanilla.

To ensure the viability of the coffee chain for future generations, Nespresso has developed the Nespresso AAA Sustainable Quality Program which aims to help coffee farmers improve the quality of their coffee and provides them with the knowledge and tools to implement sustainable agriculture practices.

In conjunction with this, Nespresso has also collaborated with beekeeping organisation UBEES to integrate beehives and monitoring technology into Nespresso AAA farms in Caldas, Colombia. As part of the collaboration, Nespresso helps farmers become beekeepers to assist in the natural pollination of the coffee plants.

From 21 August, Coffee Blossom Honey and Coffee Blossom Honey Syrup will also be available to purchase across the US on Nespresso.com. Due to size of the first harvest, limited quantities will be on sale.
