Luckin Coffee has made its Malaysia debut with the soft-launch of two outlets on 23 January 2025, in partnership with Hextar Industries Bhd.

The outlets are located at Sunway Pyramid and Menara EcoWorld, Bukit Bintang City Centre, with an additional three stores expected to open by the end of January 2025.

In a statement, the companies said the soft opening phase will allow the brand to gather valuable customer feedback and fine tune its services. Furthermore, the Luckin Coffee app was also introduced on January 23.

Hextar Industries subsidiary Global Aroma CEO Jeff Lim Chee Lip says the coffee culture is growing rapidly in Malaysia.

“With Luckin Coffee’s value-driven pricing and technology-driven approach, we are confident that the brand will resonate with local customers,” he says.

In November 2024, Global Aroma entered into a strategic partnership with Luckin Coffee Holding Singapore Pte Ltd to bring the Luckin Coffee brand to Malaysia.

This collaboration grants GASB exclusive rights to develop, open, and operate coffee shops under the Luckin Coffee brand nationwide.

Hextar Industries is primarily involved in the manufacturing, formulation, distribution, and trading of fertilisers, as well as the supply and distribution of quarry products and machinery.
