Accademia del Caffè Espresso, La Marzocco’s cultural centre that aims to promote coffee culture, is launching a new online course focused on teaching baristas how to extract espresso and to explore topics around espresso brewing.
The course, ‘E-learning Espresso’, consists of 15 modules with over 70 videos adding up to over five hours of training. It will be the company’s first online course.
The course was designed by Nora Smahelova, the Coffee Education Leader of Accademia del Caffè Espresso.
“This course was conceived as a point of reference for anyone who just wants to improve their coffee experience at home starting from a greater knowledge of the raw material,” says Nora. ““We decided to create a course that could be enjoyable online, accessible anytime and everywhere.”
Topics range from the origins and the processing of coffee to setting up an espresso machine and the basics of latte art, crossing between theoretical concepts and practical advice.
The structure of E-learning Espresso will enable students to replicate the course concepts directly on your espresso machine in real time while giving them theoretical and practical aspects of extraction parameters.
Registration for the course is AUD$486.27, with one-year access to the platform becoming available after purchase.
