Swiss coffee machine manufacturer Franke has received the Red Dot: Best of the Best product design award for its Mytico coffee machine range in the international design awards.

“We are particularly pleased to receive this exclusive award,” says Franke Coffee Systems CEO Marco Zancolò.

“The Red Dot award is one of the most coveted quality labels for design, and with the Red Dot: Best of the Best award, not only has Mytico’s innovative design and exceptional quality been recognised, but it is also a reward for everyone involved in the development of this game-changing coffee machine.”

The Red Dot Design Awards are presented annually in three disciplines: product design, brands and communication design, and design concept.

Ranking as the highest award of the competition, the Red Dot: Best of the Best has become internationally recognised as one of the most sought-after markers of quality design.

The competition criteria for the award are based on functionality and aesthetics, with submitted products evaluated by a jury of approximately 40 international design experts from various fields.

Franke combines cutting-edge Swiss technology with Italian design and user-friendly functionality to create quality products. The international jury assigned Red Dot Winner Points for the first time as part of the evaluation process, with Franke’s Mytico line receiving an outstanding 93 of the maximum 100 Red dot Winner Points.

“Among the numerous submissions from companies and design studios all over the world, the outstanding quality and design of your product convinced our international jury,” says Red Dot CEO Professor Dr Peter Zec.

The Mytico line adds the Red Dot award to its growing collection of accolades, including the Design Award 2024 Gold, the 2023 Good Design award, and the MICE Product Innovation Award 2023.
