United States-based coffee chain Dutch Bros announced new leadership appointments, including Joshua Guenser as the company’s incoming CFO.
“We are designing our executive leadership team to support the Dutch Bros mission and vision as we scale and grow to 4000 shops,” says Dutch Bros CEO and president Christine Barone. “I’m excited to welcome best-in-class leaders who understand the industry and have effectively scaled operations while maintaining and valuing company culture.”
Guenser will join the company in February following a transitional period and subject to his appointment by the board. He will succeed Charley Jemley following the release of the company’s Q1 2024 results in March.
Guenser joins Dutch Bros from MOD Super Fast Pizza Holdings where he served as CFO. He also served more than a decade at Starbucks, most recently as Senior Vice President of Finance in North America.
Dutch Bros also announced Sumitro Ghosh as incoming President of Operations and Jess Elmquist as Chief People Officer.
Ghosh, who most recently served as Global Vice President of Stores at Nike, will join Dutch Bros in January and will spend the first months of his tenure engaging with shop and field leaders across the company’s markets.
Elmquist will be responsible for all human resources functions in his role as Chief People Officer. He joins the company after serving as Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Evangelist at Phenom People.
“We have an exceptional team with leaders who have deep knowledge of Dutch Bros and what sets it apart in the drive-through industry, as well as those who know how to thoughtfully guide the company in its next phase of growth,” says Barone.
Brian Maxwell, Dutch Bros’ current COO, is expected to transition into the role of Vice Chairman, subject to board approval.
