Costa Coffee has expanded its business-to-business propositions, teaming up with Caffitaly to launch a new range of patented coffee machines tailored for hotels, workplaces and leisure businesses of all sizes.
Philippe Schaillee, CEO of Costa Coffee, says the partnership allows Costa X to draw on Caffitaly’s expertise in launching a bespoke range of end-to-end coffee solutions.
“Caffitaly’s expertise in pod design and machine manufacturing has been instrumental in the development of the Podio range and has enhanced the taste and aroma of our Costa Coffee Mocha Italia Signature Blend,” Schaillee says.
“We truly believe the range of propositions available from Costa X will revolutionise how and where barista-quality coffee can be served.”
Launched at hospitality trade show HostMilano in October, the new Podio range uses Caffitaly’s Flexicup pod system, which features a double filtration method and pre-infusion technology.
Alongside espresso extraction, the Podio range delivers filter coffee and non-coffee drinks, including hot chocolate.
Massimiliano Pogliani, CEO of Caffitaly, says the Podio range brings the best of both companies together.
“This collaboration is not just a testament to Caffitaly’s unwavering commitment to research and development, but also a reflection of our shared vision to redefine the global coffee landscape. By coupling our Flexicup capsule system with a machine tailored exclusively for Costa X, we aim to delight coffee aficionados worldwide,” Pogliani says.
“This long-term partnership heralds a new era of excellence, innovation, and shared passion.”
The Podio range had been soft launched in markets across Eastern Europe, and Costa Coffee is hopeful it can propel Costa X’s reach within the United Kingdom, Western Europe, and other international markets.
