Coffee Planet is celebrating after winning four prestigious awards in the Middle East.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based specialty coffee provider, part of the Ludlow Coffee Group, was recognised as a ‘UAE Superbrand’ at the 19th Annual Superbrands Tribute in Dubai. The award is given to brands that offer consumers significant emotional and/or physical advantages.
Coffee Planet also claimed two wins at the Middle East Management Excellence Awards. This included ‘Team of the Year – Food & Beverage’, in recognition of its passion for investing in people through training, development, employee engagement, and ensuring it is an employer of choice.
It secured the ‘National Business Award for Food and Beverage’ after developing new products and propositions. The award recognised Coffee Planet’s revamped brand identity and packaging, Campus by Coffee Planet, and the introduction of aluminium capsules and instant coffee.
Coffee Planet CEO Jamie Brown was also recognised as a ‘Food Service Icon’ at the Retail Middle East Magazine Food Service Icons Awards.
Brown says the awards are testimony to the company’s overall approach towards growth and strategic investments as it celebrates the best year in its 18-year history.
“We attribute this phenomenal year to the efforts of our wonderful team, our strategic investments in the business and people, and the unique proposition of striving to make specialty coffee accessible to all,” Brown says.
Coffee Planet started a new chapter in May 2023 with a resolution to make specialty coffee accessible to all customers, channels, and markets globally.
To keep Coffee Planet’s growth momentum in 2024, the company has also reinforced its leadership team with three additions: Rob Saunders, who has operated as Non-Executive Director for several years and joins Coffee Planet as the Chief Finance Officer; Wesley Morrissey as Sales Director; and Matthew Yorke Smith, a founding member of the company and now Chief Operating Officer.
Coffee Planet was born in the UAE in 2005, and today, serves its coffee to five-star hotels, airlines, offices, restaurants, and more. It can also be purchased in more than 700 retail outlets and through numerous online channels.
