The first Australian Bean-to-Bar Chocolate Festival will be held at the Abbotsford Convent in Melbourne on World Chocolate Day, 7 July 2024.

The event is billed as the only chocolate festival in Australia celebrating cacao growers and chocolate makers.

Visitors will be able to explore the bean-to-bar chocolate process, meet farmers, and taste chocolate made by chocolatiers from Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand, Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, and Samoa.

The event will feature more than 30 exhibitors, who will offer small bite-size portions of their products as samples, allowing visitors to purchase their preferred ethically sourced chocolate products.

Most of the exhibitors also offer no-sugar-added, all-natural, organic, vegan, gluten-free, and kosher products, and visitors can check with each exhibitor regarding special diets or certifications.

General admission tickets are $20 each, with a group discount of 15 per cent off for six tickets, at $102.

A general admission ticket inclusive of a tasting session cost $25.
