The Specialty Coffee Association is reprising its Green Coffee Summit, a free online event designed for coffee traders, producers and other actors within the green coffee industry.
The third iteration of the event, which debuted in August 2021, is taking place in live four-hour sessions on Dec. 5-6.
“The research on understanding flavor attributes in coffee is evolving rapidly due to market changes, scientific progress, and shifting consumer preferences in the specialty coffee sector,” SCA Sustainability Director Andrés Montenegro said in an announcement of this year’s event. “Green Coffee Summit 2023 is a unique chance to get the pulse on these innovations and learn from the leading experts and coffee professionals that are shaping the strategies to advance the specialty coffee sector to make coffee better, for all.”
According to the SCA, this year’s summit will include expert insights into specialty coffee markets and trends, production forecasts, discussions on evolving legislation, and explorations of emerging consumer preferences and flavor profiles in key producing regions.
In addition to the event’s presentations, lectures and panel discussions, the Green Coffee Summit includes a companion resource library.
