SCA to host third Green Coffee Summit

The Specialty Coffee Association has announced the third edition of the Green Coffee Summit, a free virtual event consisting of two days of presentations, lectures, and panel discussions.

The event will take place from 5 to 6 December, and will feature live content focused on providing reliable, actionable knowledge about specialty coffee markets for producers, traders, and green coffee buyers alike.

“In recent years, our perception of green coffee’s value has shifted significantly, with a growing emphasis on extrinsic qualities,” says SCA Sustainability Director and content lead for this year’s Green Coffee Summit, Andrés Montenegro.

“The research on understanding flavour attributes in coffee is evolving rapidly due to market changes, scientific progress, and shifting consumer preferences in the specialty coffee sector.”

All content from the event will be recorded and added to the Green Coffee Summit library alongside past sessions.

“Green Coffee Summit 2023 is a unique chance to get the pulse on these innovations and learn from the leading experts and coffee professionals that are shaping the strategies to advance the specialty coffee sector to make coffee better, for all,” says Montenegro.

The summit hopes to provide attendees with the opportunity to connect with industry experts, network with like-minded individuals, and uncover the latest trends and innovations in the world of green coffee.
