United States (US) coffee chain company Starbucks has launched its largest flagship store to date in Taipei, Taiwan.

The new Starbucks Reserve Dream Plaza Taipei is located in the Xinyi District and aims to blend the heritage of the Taiwanese culture with the traditional aesthetics of Starbucks.

According to the brand, the flagship store features a Siren’s Lounge, a first-of-its-kind concept in the region. The reservation-only space offers a tasting menu created in collaboration with chef André Chiang alongside a selection of Starbucks Reserve coffees.

The store also includes a series of “first-in-market” innovations, including the Sensory Room and Coffee Experience Room. These rooms are dedicated spaces for Starbucks Coffee Masters and industry experts to host tastings and workshops.

Guests can explore the living gallery, which celebrates themes of harmony and nature. Each piece of artwork, including a metal sculpture of the Starbucks Siren, pays tribute to Taiwan’s coffee and tea culture, and has been created by local and international artists such as Eszter Chen, Labay Eyong, Ben Johnston, Yaeko Kurimata and Che-Ye Wu.

The unveiling of the 2000-square-metre store comes after Starbucks announced its new secret menu on 14 July. The new flavours were announced via the Starbucks app in the US.
