Buna Kurs Media has announced the first ever Coffee Origin Festival (COFE), which will take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 1 to 3 October.

Located in the capital city’s Skylight Hotel, the festival – hosted by OTW 2024 – seeks to commemorate Ethiopia’s legacy as the birthplace of coffee and celebrate International Coffee Day on 1 October.

COFE is not just another local event; it’s a celebration of our legacy as the home of coffee and a significant step forward for our country on the global coffee stage,” say the Buna Kurs Media team.

The festival will feature a variety of attractions and interactive events showcasing Ethiopian heritage. The schedule includes performances and exhibitions, exclusive coffee roasts and brews, and insightful discussions surrounding sustainability and innovation within the coffee industry.

Buna Kurs Media says that its collaboration with large industry organisations, such as the International Coffee Organisation, has enabled COFE to be recognised and embraced by the global coffee community. The organisation says COFE is open to everyone, including local communities, farmers, industry leaders, and coffee lovers.

Further festival features and updates will be announced closer to the event.
