Coffee roaster Piazza D’Oro has partnered with Brisbane artist Kiel Tillman to commission a new artwork at Laneway Bagels in Fortitude Valley, Queensland.
The partnership celebrates the café’s reopening and is part of Piazza D’Oro’s wider project to support local artists across the country to creatively inspire Australians as they pick up their morning coffee.
“When Piazza D’Oro contacted me about engaging Kiel to paint a mural, I was ecstatic that the brand wanted to engage such a renowned local artist to bring his incredible art to Laneway Bagels. We are excited about the new artwork and the inspiration that this will bring for our customers daily,” says Laneway Bagels Owner Dylan Counsel.
According to the brand, the colourful mural is designed to embody the sense of comfort a cup of Piazza D’Oro coffee delivers.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Kiel to bring a new dimension of creativity to Laneway Bagels. His ability to capture the essence of our coffee culture through art is truly remarkable. Kiel’s work is the first of a series of art installations and murals that will be popping up around the country to celebrate the art in every cup of coffee,” says Janine Riedel, Senior Brand Manager at Piazza D’Oro.
In celebration of the new artwork, Laneway Bagels will offer customers a buy one breakfast item or bagel and get one free deal from 25 July to 15 August. The artwork will be visible for all those who want to catch a peek at Laneway Bagels, Gerard’s Lane, 7/19 James Street, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.
