Coffee For A Cause: The New Friends Blend From Sisters Coffee Company

We love a good coffee here at Sprudge, this much goes without saying. But what we really love is a good coffee that does good. The sort of coffee you’d gladly drink were there no charitable component but somehow the selflessness makes it taste all the sweeter.

And that’s exactly what Sisters Coffee Company is serving up with their all new Friends Blend. Proceeds from the Sisters, Oregon-based brand’s latest offering goes to benefit Friends of the Children Portland and Friends of the Children Central Oregon.

Founded in 1993, Friends of the Children is a 501c3 non-profit that provides at-risk youth with professional, salaried mentors starting as early as kindergarten, maintaining relationships with the children through high school graduation. The end goal, per their website, is “breaking the cycle of generational poverty.” But to achieve this mission requires funding.

Enter the Friends Blend. Releasing tomorrow, July 26th, for every 12oz bag of Friends Blend sold, $1 will go to both Friends of the Children Portland and Friends of the Children Central Oregon.

“This is an amazing opportunity for us to share our commitment to improving our communities with an organization that literally transforms the lives of youths in Central Oregon, Portland, and all over the country,” Sisters Coffee President Justin Durham states in a press release. “And not only will sales from this unique coffee blend help support Friends of the Children, but it’s also just an outstanding coffee that’s going to bring a lot of smiles to a lot of faces.”

Bags of Sisters Coffee Company’s Friends Blend benefitting Friends of the Children Portland and Friends of the Children Central Oregon will be available for purchase online and in-person at the three Sisters cafe locations in Sisters, Bend, and Portland.
