German coffee machine brand WMF has unveiled its new MultiMilk system as the latest addition to its WMF 5000 S+ fully automated coffee machine.

According to the brand, the integrated milk system can deliver up to five different milks and plant-based alternatives as well as textured milk foam. To reduce waste and extend product shelf-life, the milks and alternatives are fed to the machine through a wand system directly from the packaging.

“We have intentionally refrained from transferring the products into an external container. Leaving the product in the Tetra Pak not only saves a work step but also protects the product from undesired exposure to oxygen. As a result, the raw ingredients have a longer shelf-life and food waste is prevented,” says WMF Head of Product Management Thomas Ege.

The software memory of the WMF 5000 S+ stores the individual milk and/or drink preparation as well as the settings for the perfect foam for each coffee product. According to the team at WMF, the selection of milk and drink options is limitless.

In developing the MultiMilk system, WMF focused on the hygienic handling of milk and  designing the WMF AutoClean. After each milk change, the cleaning system rinses the mixer and removes all residue.

For more than 170 years, WMF has been dedicated to achieving balance of design, functionality, and quality. The company aims to cater for every business model in the coffee sector, producing fully automatic machines for coffee specialities, filter machines, semi-automatic portafilters, and innovative digitalisation concepts.

In 2016,  WMF became part of the French SEB Groupe. The company prides itself on its wide and diverse international team of 30,000 employees in over 150 countries, and on its offering of 33 brands to the global food and beverage market.
