Interview with Sang Ho Park, Center Coffee Founder
Our journey in Seoul continues with a visit to one of Aston’s long-time coffee friends, Sang Ho Park, a veteran in the specialty coffee industry with over a decade of experience.
Sang Ho has an impressive track record in coffee competitions, including winning the 2013 United Kingdom Brewers Cup and being a finalist in the World Coffee in Good Spirits competition in 2015. During his time in the UK, he honed his skills at Square Mile Coffee Roasters, a renowned roastery owned by the 2007 World Barista Champion, James Hoffmann.
In 2017, Sang Ho established Center Coffee in Seoul with a vision to roast and serve high-end, rare coffee varieties such as Geisha. Returning to his homeland, he shared insights with us about the differences between the South Korean and UK coffee scenes, from business practices to customer preferences.
