AeroPress Launches the Go Plus Complete Travel Coffee System

Palo Alto, California-based AeroPress launched the AeroPress Go Plus Complete Travel Coffee System. The new travel-focused coffee brewing system builds upon the company’s original AeroPress Go system, launched in 2019, offering a clear brewing chamber, a double-walled stainless steel tumbler, a leak-resistant magnetized slider lid, a travel scoop, a stirrer and a built-in filter holder. It is the first AeroPress product to bear new branding, including the tagline, “Press for Better Coffee.” The AeroPress Go Plus Complete is selling directly for $79.95 plus shipping.

New Research Links Coffee to Migraines in Korean Women

A new study involving more than 2,600 women in the nursing profession in Korea found an association between coffee consumption and increased incidence of migraines. “In a Cox regression analysis, coffee consumption contributed most to the incidence of migraines among female nurses, followed by being obese, having a higher annual salary level, and engaging in vigorous physical activities,” the authors wrote.

Starbucks and GrubHub Ink US Nationwide Delivery Deal

Starbucks and app-based delivery service GrubHub announced a nationwide delivery partnership, launching in Pennsylvania, Colorado and Illinois this month. The service is planned to roll out to all 50 U.S. states by August.

Minor Figures Launches Promo with La Marzocco Mini Grand Prize

UK-based oat milk company Minor Figures has launched a promotional campaign called Dairy Disloyalty, through which participants in six U.S. cities will become eligible to win bowling shirts or the grand prize, a La Marzocco Mini espresso machine.

Sofía Vergara Launches ¡Díos Mio! Colombian Coffee Line

In celebrity coffee news, Sofía Vergara last week launched ¡Díos Mio! Coffee, a line of roasted and packaged coffee available through direct sales and Walmart. The new brand says it partnered with the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation (FNC) to source Colombian coffees grown by women. Launching with three blends, the company did not disclose whether it is roasting the coffee or working with an independent supplier.

OZO Coffee Piloting Gaeastar Reusable Clay Cups

Colorado-based OZO Coffee is the latest coffee company to pilot Gaeastar cups, reusable vessels made with just clay, water and salt. The cups are available for a $2 purchase. California’s Verve Coffee Roasters is also running a pilot program with Gaeastar.

Ten Coffees Score 90+ at El Salvador Cup of Excellence

A record-breaking 10 coffees scored more than 90 points, according to an international jury, at the recent El Salvador Cup of Excellence green coffee competition. All the CoE winning coffees are heading to a July 18 online auction.

ICO Releases Global Coffee Market Report for May

The International Coffee Organization issued its monthly report on the global coffee market for may, showing a composite indicator price average of US$2.0838 per pound, a 3.9% decrease from the previous month.
