For the fourth year in a row, coffee roasting technology manufacturer Probat has been recognised as one of the world’s Best Managed Companies by a panel of judges.

Through its annual competition, the Best Managed Companies program recognises successful medium-sized companies. The program’s vision is to create a national and global ecosystem of excellently managed Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This year’s event took place on 24 May at the Gesellschaftshaus Palmengarten botanic gardens in Frankfurt, Germany.

Probat received the coveted award for its focus on sustainability. In recent years, it has strategically prioritised sustainability issues and analysed the impact of the company’s activities on interest groups and stakeholders. Probat will present these results, as well as other long-term goals, in an inaugural sustainability report for the reporting period of 2022.

“Probat’s corporate management has always been geared towards sustainability and future viability, always with a clear focus on the needs of future generations. We see the fact that we have once again been recognised as a Best Managed Company as confirmation that bold and forward-looking decisions make a significant contribution to our continued success,” says Wim Abbing, Probat CEO.

Deloitte, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, and UBS, in cooperation with the Federation of German Industries, presented the Best Managed Companies Award.

Probat is the global marketing and technology leader for coffee processing plants and machinery, and has been developing solutions for the coffee industry for more than 155 years. Together with subsidiaries in Brazil, Canada, India, Italy, Scotland, the Netherlands, and the United States (USA), Probat employs around 1,200 people.
