Swedish coffee company Löfbergs has appointed Rami Kuusisto as the new Managing Director of the brand in Finland, effective 1 September.
Kuusisto succeeds Kent Pettersson, who will continue in the role of Chief Commercial Officer Market East.
“I am excited to join Löfbergs, which is one of the largest family-owned coffee roasters in the Nordics with a high-quality offering, strong customer focus, and consistent engagement in sustainability. Löfbergs has an impressive legacy, and I am honoured to be trusted to work with my new colleagues to take the company’s success story further in Finland,” says Kuusisto.
Kuuisto most recently held the role of CEO of Finnsweet Group, a manufacturer and retailer of sweets, chocolate, and bakery products. Previously, he worked as a Commercial Director for Paulig, a Finnish family-owned food and beverage group.
According to Löfbergs CEO Anders Fredriksson, Finland and the Baltics are key areas for the company’s international growth.
“We have had spectacular development in Finland over the past 10 years, and have laid a good foundation for continued growth. Rami’s task will be to take Löfbergs to the next level together with his colleagues, while creating better conditions to increase sales in Eastern Europe,” says Fredriksson.
The group, which also includes brands such as Peter Larsen Kaffe and Kobbs, also sees great potential in other neighbouring markets, with particular interest in Poland.
Löfbergs was founded in Karlstad, Sweden, by brothers Anders, John, and Josef Löfberg, who started importing and selling coffee in 1906. Today, the company roasts the equivalent of more than 10 million cups of coffee each day.
