The Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA) has announced the 2024 ASCA Australian Coffee Championships will take place at The Wool Mill in Brunswick East, Melbourne from 19 to 23 February 2024.
The championships include the 2024 Oatly Australian Barista Championship, ASCA Australian Latte Art Championship, ASCA Australian Brewers Cup Championship, and ASCA Australian Cup Tasters Championship.
The 2024 ASCA Coffee Roasting Championship finals will be held at Criteria Coffee in Port Melbourne from 17 to 18 February 2024.
Registrations for the Oatly Australian Barista Championship and ASCA Australian Latte Art Championship will open from 20 December 2023 at 12pm AEDT until 5pm AEDT on 19 January 2024.
Registrations for the ASCA Coffee Roasting Championship is open now and entries will close 5 January 2024 at 5pm AEDT unless sold out earlier.
There will be no registration required for the Top 12 competitors who qualified for Brewers Cup and Cup Tasters.
The 2024 Oatly Australian Barista Championship will use Tempesta two-group espresso machines and Victoria Arduino MY 75 grinders. The ASCA Latte Art Championship will include Riverina Fresh milk, Victoria Arduino MY 75 grinders and Vittoria Coffee Lab Release Blend 58. The ASCA Cup Tasters Championship will feature coffee from Minas Hill Coffee.
For the first time, the Australian Roasting Championship final coffee submissions will be available for public cupping during the Australian Coffee Championships.
The 2024 Rules and Regulations for both competitions will be used and schedules for each competition will be released in early 2024.
