Expat. Roasters has announced the opening of its first store in Jakarta.
The store will be the Indonesian coffee roaster’s second location outside of Bali, and will be located on the 13th floor of the Mori Building Jakarta in Sudirman.
“This has been seven years in the making and we are incredibly excited to bring Expat. Roasters to Jakarta,” says Expat.Roasters Founder and CEO Shae Macnamara.
The new location will service the entire building as well as the general public.
“This city’s vibrant energy and love for coffee make it the perfect destination for our latest brew bar and we look forward to servicing the city not only at our brew bar, but also through our trusted partners,” says Macnamara.
The store was architecturally designed by WHAstudio in collaboration with Sydney-based X plus O Design Studio.
“Curating the design for Expat. Roasters Jakarta’s latest coffee shop was once again a great experience,” says WHAstudio Principal Architect Wilson Harkhono.
“Our aspiration was to transcend the conventional and create a fusion of contemporary aesthetics that transports the essence of Bali to the heart of Jakarta’s urban landscape, all whilst following the strong brand guidelines of Expat. Roasters.”
The Jakarta store will feature an all-day dining menu showcasing international dishes while celebrating local flavours and produce.
