United Kingdom (UK) specialty coffee roaster 200 Degrees Coffee has unveiled its first Coffee 2GO unit, marking the brand’s entrance into the premium automated coffee machine market.
According to the 200 Degrees team, the Coffee 2GO unit is the ideal solution for venues short on space and destinations without a full people-led shop offering.
“The quality of our offering is what drives us to reach more people. There are many scenarios where a cup of 200 Degrees coffee can make your day that little bit better – whether you’re working, studying, on the move, or relaxing,” says Will Kenney, 200 Degrees Commercial Director.
“By providing even more opportunities for people to enjoy our coffee, we’re one step closer to eradicating bad coffee from all walks of life. The machine looks pretty slick too.”
The “barista in a box” machine operates on a rebate model that requires no upfront cost from businesses, with free training on how to use the device. Coffee 2GO will be rolled out in a variety of locations across the UK, including hotels, hospitality venues, university campuses, and more.
The company’s first Coffee 2GO station was introduced at a Student Roost accommodation block in Nottingham, the UK city in which the company was founded in 2012, where students queued to be one of the first 200 people to receive a free coffee.
Dwight Heath, Senior Operations Manager at Deakins Place, Student Roost, praised the concept.
“The response from residents has been nothing but positive and we can’t wait to see them using the Coffee 2GO unit to fuel their day,” says Heath.
Since it was founded over a decade ago, 200 Degrees has launched 21 shops across the UK, with over 500 wholesale clients in the region.
